There are two types of alum stone: natural and synthetic. The natural alum stone, which we use, is not very translucent and contains potassium alum. Synthetic alum stone, on the other hand, is composed of ammonium and aluminum, potentially causing harmful effects.

As a deodorant: After bathing, apply the Potassium Alum crystal to your slightly damp armpits for 20 to 30 seconds. Alternatively, you can apply it to dry armpits and then moisten the crystal.
